Saint Peter’s Hosts MAAC Basketball DH on Thursday on ESPN3

Edison, N.J. - Saint Peter's University's Yanitelli Center will be the site for the first MAAC men's and women's basketball doubleheader to be televised this season on Thursday, Jan. 17. Both National MAAC Games of the Week will air live on ESPN3.

The first game of the twin bill will feature a match-up between the women's programs from Siena College and Saint Peter's at 6:00 p.m. Siena, 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Lily Grenci, who is registering 14.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, and junior forward Clara Sole Anglada, who is averaging 9.0 points and 5.3 caroms a night for the Saints. Saint Peter's, 0-15 overall and 0-4 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Kristal Edwards, who is contributing 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, and junior guard Aziza May, who is posting 8.8 points and 3.2 assists an outing for the Peacocks.

Game two has the men's teams for Rider University and Saint Peter's for an 8:30 p.m. tip-off. Rider, 9-9 overall and 4-2 in the MAAC, is led by junior guard Anthony Myles, who is averaging 12.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, as well as junior forward Daniel Stewart, who is contributing 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds an outing for the Broncs. Saint Peter's, 6-10 overall and 1-5 in the MAAC, is led by redshirt sophomore guard Desi Washington, who is averaging 15.3 points and 3.9 rebounds an outing, and senior guard Yvon Raymond, who is netting 10.3 points and grabbing 5.1 rebounds a night for the Peacocks.
