Manhattan Hosts MAAC Basketball Doubleheader on Friday

Edison, N.J. - Manhattan College's Draddy Gymnasium will be the site for the next MAAC men's and women's basketball doubleheader to be televised this season on Friday, Jan. 25.

The women's game between Marist College and Manhattan will take place at 4:00 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN3.

Marist, 11-6 overall and 6-0 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward/guard Elizabeth Beynnon, who is registering 11.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, and junior forward Emma O'Connor, who is averaging 9.6 points and 4.5 caroms a night for the Red Foxes. Manhattan, 5-12 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC, is led by junior guard/forward Monica Roeder, who is contributing 11.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, and freshman forward Shayna Ericksen, who is posting 9.2 points and 7.4 rebounds an outing for the Jaspers.

The men's contest between Loyola University Maryland and Manhattan will start at 7:00 p.m., and air live on ESPNU and WatchESPN.com.

Loyola, 14-6 overall and 6-2 in the MAAC, is led by junior guard Dylon Cormier, who is averaging 17.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, as well as graduate student forward Erik Etherly, who is contributing 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds an outing for the Greyhounds. Manhattan, 5-13 overall and 3-5 in the MAAC, is led by junior forward/center Rhamel Brown, who is averaging 11.7 points and 6.9 rebounds an outing, and junior guard Michael Alvarado, who is netting 8.6 points and pulling down 2.5 rebounds a night for the Jaspers.
