Player of the Week

Kollyns Scarbrough, Siena

Siena’s Kollyns Scarbrough's 34-point effort tied four others for the most points scored by a Siena player in 34 years since Mary Gaudreau '83 tallied 36 points at LIU Brooklyn on February 19, 1983. Scarbrough tied teammate Jackie Benitez for the most points scored in a game by a MAAC player this season. Benitez also scored 34 points against Monmouth on January 12. The junior was one rebound away from recording a double-double against the Hawks. On the week, Scarbrough shot 60.0 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the charity stripe. She averaged 23.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Scarbrough played 19 minutes in the Saints win over Canisius and tallied 12 points on 6-of-8 (75.0%) shooting.

Rookie of the Week

Hannah Hand, Marist

Fr., G, Argyle, TX/Liberty Christian School

In a two game week for the Red Foxes, Hannah Hand averaged 12.0 points, seven rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 38.5 percent from three. In Hand’s first game against Iona, she scored 12 points to go along with eight rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. Hand followed up her performance in that game with another 12 point effort against Canisius just two nights later. Hand also hit four threes, grabbed six rebounds, dished out an assist, and swiped a steal in 35 minutes of action. Hand earns her second MAAC Rookie of the Week honor, she previous took home the award on January 16.
