Rencheli, Fletcher Win Tennis Weekly Awards

Senior Sitilia Rencheli went 2-0 over the weekend in Quinnipiac University’s only contest against Hofstra University. The Bobcats won the matchup 5-2. At the No. 2 doubles spot, Rencheli and partner Kelsi Oliphant defeated Sarah Herndon and Disha Yellayi of Hofstra (6-1), securing a doubles point for Quinnipiac. Later in the No. 1 singles position, Rencheli posted another victory over D’Asha Davis (6-4, 6-0) in straight sets.
Dylan Fletcher, Marist

Senior Dylan Fletcher went 4-2 on the week. He won three singles matches and one doubles match, which included a singles win over Yale University, the No. 47th ranked team in the nation.
He started his weekend with two wins on Saturday, March 11 when he defeated Peter Colliard of Fairfield University, 6-1, 6-0. He then teamed up with Justin Chanthalangsy to defeat Dylan Appel and Peter Colliard, 6-0. Marist went on to win the match over Fairfield, 5-2.
On March 12, Fletcher recorded a victory over No. 47th ranked Yale’s, Dennis Wang (7-5, 6-4). Later that day at the No. 5 singles position, Fletcher defeated Hari Rohan of Stony Brook University 6-1, 6-3.
Fletcher recorded the only point for the Red Foxes’ against Yale and added to the team win later in the day over Stony Brook. The Red Foxes are currently 6-2 on the season.
