EDISON, N.J. – A total of 48 athletes comprise the 2008 MAAC Volleyball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College, Manhattan College and Marist College led all schools with seven members each named to the team. Saint Peter’s College added six members, while Loyola College and Rider University both had five athletes named to the team. Canisius College added four players, while Siena College had three named to the squad. Fairfield University and Niagara University rounded out the team with two athletes apiece.
