MAAC Player of the Week


Wesley Jenkins, Saint Peter's

Sophomore, Guard, 6-3, 195, Newark, N.J./Bloomfield Tech

Jenkins, a sophomore guard, led the Peacocks to a 67-64 come-from-behind win at Iona in their only game of the week on Saturday.  He scored a career-high 30 points on 8-of-14 from the field, including 7-of-8 from three and 7-of-10 from the line.  Jenkins scored 14 of his 30 points during a 19-6 run in the final 5:35 of the game to lead the Peacocks to victory.  




MAAC Rookie of the Week


Novar Gadson, Rider

Freshman, Guard/Forward, 6-7, 215, Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram

Gadson, a freshman guard/forward, averaged 10.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Broncs.  He registered 11 points, nine rebounds in 24 minutes of play against Loyola.  Gadson then recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in Rider's 65-55 victory over Canisius.
