Iona College men's basketball co-captain junior guard Sean Armand has developed into a leader on and off the court for the Gaels. Armand has improved vastly from a three-point specialist to an all-around player. This season, he is averaging 18.9 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Through 17 games this year, Armand has scored in doubles figures in 16 games and had his first double-double against Niagara in November. In his last game against Canisius, Armand scored 32 points on 9-of-15 from the outside and was a key part in the conference win.
Caitlin Bopp - Rider University
Women's Basketball, Sr., F/C, 6-2, Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame
After 15 games this season for the 7-8 Broncs (2-2 MAAC), Caitlin Bopp has exactly 135 points and exactly 135 rebounds. In her four-year, 93-game career thus far, the 6-foot-2 center from Baltimore, MD has compiled 794 points (8.5 per game) and 797 rebounds (8.5 per game). Her career rebound total is fourth most ever at Rider and her 9.0 rebounds per game this year is fourth best in the MAAC. Bopp also is second in the MAAC in blocks this season. This season, she led Rider to a MAAC road win over Manhattan when she compiled 16 points and 18 rebounds. The 16 points accounted for one-third of Rider's total in the 48-41 victory. The 18-rebound total was almost half of her team's total (40). She recently scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a victory over Army. With four this year, Bopp now has 22 career double-doubles. A Business Administration major who plays the piano, she lettered in soccer and volleyball at the Institute of Notre Dame before coming to Rider. At Rider, she was a member of the MAAC All-Rookie Team and has won several Rider Athlete of the Month awards. She has earned her team's Defensive Player of the Year and the team's Practice Player of the Year award.
