MAAC Men's Player of the Week
MATT HIMMELSBACH, MARIST

Himmelsbach has been Marist's top performer so far this spring as they have gone up against some of the top competition in the region. He opened the spring season at the Harvard Invite, going against three of the Crimson's top singles players and playing them all tough. Playing at the second singles position in dual matches at NJIT and Ivy League powerhouse Columbia, he defeated his Highlanders' opponent 6-3, 6-4 before forcing his opponent from Columbia to three sets before falling 6-7, 7-6, 1-6. Himmelsbach has also played at both the first and second doubles positions this spring, winning two matches. He defeated a pair from Harvard 8-2 and also salvaged the Red Foxes' lone win against Columbia 9-8 (10-5).
MAAC Women's Player of the Week
ERIN McCARTHY, MARIST
Sr., Salem, N.J./Salem
McCarthy was the top player for the Red Foxes in their season opening victory over Saint Peter's on Saturday, February 25. Her day opened with an 8-3 victory in number one doubles action as she teamed with Kelsey Raynor to defeat the Peahens' duo of Livingston and Williams. In number two singles action, McCarthy dropped just two points in her straight set victory over Saint Peter's Adina Ungurean-Halagian. The final score of her matchup was 6-2, 6-0.
