Siena Sweeps MAAC Baseball Weekly Awards

Paolini batted .615 with a .923 slugging percentage in Siena's series at Saint Peter's. He went 4-for-6 with a home run and six RBI in the series-opening win, and had two hits in each game of the Saturday doubleheader. The home run was 17th of the season and 54th all-time for the MAAC's home run king. Paolini drove in eight runs on the weekend and played a flawless second base, making good on all eight of his chances. He also scored two runs and stole a base.

Sumple enjoyed one of the top performances of his career in Siena's series-opening 12-0 win over Saint Peter's. He picked up the complete game shutout, allowing just four hits and striking out 11. Sumple registered 136 pitches in his nine innings of work.

VINCENT CITRO, SIENA
Freshman, INF, 6-3, 185, Montclair, N.J./Montclair
Citro batted .667 with a .786 slugging percentage in Siena's series win at Saint Peter's. His marquee performance was a 6-for-6 opener in which he scored three runs and drove in two. In the series finale, Citro's 10th inning, bases-loaded triple cleared the bases, breaking a 3-3 tie and leading Siena to the extra-inning win and series triumph. He finished the weekend 9-for-14 with five RBI, four runs scored and a .786 slugging percentage.
