Troy, N.Y. - A total of 62 athletes comprise the 2012 MAAC Baseball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College and Saint Peter's College led all schools with 10 members each named to the team. Niagara University had nine student-athletes, and Marist College had eight representatives. Fairfield University and Siena College both added six members, while Canisius College had five players named to the squad. Manhattan College and Rider University rounded out the team with four athletes apiece.
