EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) presents Around the MAAC. This week's edition features the 2017 MAAC Softball Champions, Fairfield University. The Stags claimed their third MAAC Softball Championship in program history and are set to face No. 13 LSU in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Softball Championship. The 2017 MAAC Softball Regular Season Champions, Iona College competed in the inaugural NISC national postseason tournament. The Gaels earned their first-ever national postseason victory with a 3-2 win over Campbell University on Tuesday, May 16.

Around the MAAC also features the 2017 MAAC Rowing Champions, Jacksonville University. The Dolphins won their fourth-straight MAAC Rowing Championship on Friday, May 12 at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, NJ. Jacksonville represents the MAAC in the 2017 NCAA Women's National Rowing Championships. The NCAA Championships are hosted by the MAAC and the Ivy League from May 26-28 at Lake Mercer.
