Junior utility Kimberly Watson registered 13 points on 12 goals and one assist as the Seahawks went 3-1 at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego, CA. The All-MAAC Preseason Selection had a standout performance in Wagner’s 5-4 triumph over No. 12 San Jose State University, burying a team-high four goals. Watson rattled the cage with just 1:37 remaining in the contest, putting away the game-winning goal to extend the Green & White’s winning streak to four games. The Canadian native recorded two more additional hat tricks throughout the weekend against West Coast programs, Whittier and CSU-Bakersfield. Additionally, Watson cashed in two tallies in Wagner’s second upset of the tournament over No. 16 UC San Diego.

Senior goalkeeper Emily Riddle registered 31 saves and 10 steals over four games at the competitive Aztec Invitational. The net minder tied her season-high 10 saves in the weekend finale against No. 23 CSU-Bakersfield, a number she previously reach on February 4 against both No. 19 Harvard and No. 13 Indiana. However, the Canadian native’s key performance came in the Green & White’s 5-4 upset over No. 12 San Jose State University. Riddle recorded a 0.636 save percentage while allowing the Spartans to score just four times. Additionally, she held SJSU scoreless in the final quarter as teammate Kimberly Watson netted the go-ahead goal for the Seahawks’ third victory of the tournament.
Freshman, Virginia Military Institute
Freshman goalkeeper Isabel French helped the Keydets to a 3-1 record at the George Washington Invite, picking up wins against Mercyhurst, Gannon, and Saint Francis (Pa.). French logged 36 saves and 3 steals over the four matches. French also registered a 48 percent save percentage average for the four matches. This is Isabel’s first Rookie of the Week win.
