Monmouth (16-7), Canisius College (16-8), and Quinnipiac University (16-8) all finished the regular season with 16 wins. The Hawks recorded the best winning percentage (.696) of the three teams to finish with 16 wins and clinched the Regular Season title and No. 1 seed. The Bobcats are the No. 2 seed and the Golden Griffins are the No. 3 seed in the championship based on head-to-head tiebreakers.

No. 2 seed Quinnipiac (25-28, 16-8 MAAC) is in action on Thursday, May 24, at noon on ESPN+. The Bobcats take on the highest remaining seed from games played on Wednesday.

The championship begins with a postseason edition of the Battle of the Bridge. No. 3 seed Canisius College (31-20, 16-8 MAAC) goes head-to-head with rival No. 6 seed Niagara University (24-25, 13-11) on Wednesday, May 23, at noon on ESPN+. The teams met three times in the regular season in games that were deemed non-conference contests. The Purple Eagles took two out of the three games from the Golden Griffins.

It is the first time in MAAC history that the Baseball Championship will be played at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. Fairfield University, Iona College, and Siena College serve as co-hosts for the event. The winner of the championship earns the MAAC’s automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Baseball Championship.

All games will air on ESPN+, which marks the first time in conference history that every game of the MAAC Baseball Championship will be broadcasted on an ESPN platform.
